Pastries & Sweets I Ate in Portugal

I ate a lot of pastries and sweets in Portugal, which is rare for me because I’m normally more of a savory person than a sweets person. But, Portugal is known for their pastries and all the different cities have certain pastries that are unique to them. And all the other pastries that are not one of a kind were just good too. Here’s a compilation of all the pastries and sweets I ate during my trip! I don’t remember where every photo is from, but if you want to know about a specific one let me know and I’ll let you know or try to find out for you!

I got these little ham & cheese pastries from the grocery store down the street from where we stayed in Porto and they were the best breakfast.

This chocolate cake from Landeau is really famous and I think was named the best or one of the best chocolate cakes by the New York Times.

These are pastries from Piriquita and are unique to Sintra.

Everything was so good! My favorites were the ovos moles, the ovos moles topping on the gelato, the Landeau chocolate cake, the pastries from Sintra, and the pao de lo de ovar. Special shoutout to all the pastel de nata and pastel de belem too!
