Low Carb Mocha Frapp + My Current Read

I’ve mentioned this a time or two before in the past couple months, but I’m on a low carb/low sugar diet for health reasons. I’m not super strict about it and have my cheat days and can never eliminate carbs from my diet completely, but I have days where I try to eat very little carbs or I make choices like using low carb, multigrain bread for a sandwich or make a cottage cheese wrap for lunch, but might have cereal for breakfast etc. But in general, I’ve cut back a lot on the carbs and sugar.
One of my guilty pleasures is the mocha frappuccinos from Starbucks. I’d get them once a week sometimes, but they have a lot of sugar and even a tall (the smallest size) has 35g of carbs, which is a lot for a drink considering I could eat pasta for the same amount. I found this recipe which is a keto friendly mocha frappe copycat recipe and it’s so good! You can make all kinds of modifications with the recipe. I use coffee from my Keurig pods, a mix of 2% milk and heavy cream (heavy cream has no sugar and no carbs, but I mix it with milk instead of doing all heavy cream because that would be little too fattening for me), cocoa powder, a sugar alternative, ice cubes, and whipped cream. The way I make it it comes out to be about 5g of carbs!
Anyway, I thought I’d share in case you were interested. I made myself a nice, delicious glass while I continued my current Kindle read, My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine. I loved My Roommate is a Vampire and so far this one has been really entertaining too!
