Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

This is one of my favorite things I’ve made from Pinterest. These buffalo cauliflower bites are spicy, crunchy, and so delicious.

I follow the original recipe and just adjust it depending on how much cauliflower I’m using.

For the recipe you’ll need:

  • cauliflower
  • water
  • all-purpose flour
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • salt
  • panko breadcrumbs
  • Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • butter (the original recipe uses vegan butter, but I use regular butter)
  • maple syrup

I cut the cauliflower into bite size pieces, then you will coat the cauliflower in the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt mixture. Shake off the excess and then coat in the panko breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs are optional, but I think it gives them an extra crisp/crunch. Bake at 425 for about 20 minutes, then flip them over and bake for an additional 15 minutes. I usually bake for a little less than this because my oven has a tendency to run hot, so just check on your cauliflower to make sure it’s not burning.

In a pot, melt your butter and then pour in the hot sauce and maple syrup. Once combined and heated through, remove from heat. I put the cauliflower in a bowl and pour the hot sauce over it and gently toss to coat. You can either eat it like this or put it back in the oven. I put it back in the oven for a few minutes. That’s it!

You can dip the cauliflower bites in blue cheese, ranch, or whatever dressing you want. The recipe I got this from actually does also provide a vegan ranch recipe. I don’t dip it in anything because I like eating it just the way it is!
